Chapter 13: Riku
~
"Hey Sora,"
"Yes Riku?"
"Do you think that there are other worlds out there?"
"Maybe."
"When we get older, let's go search for them."
"Promise?"
"I promise Sora."
Riku smiled fondly at the memory, he had been so young back then and carefree. He wished that he could go back there and relive all those memories.
Riku was perched on a skyscraper, looking down at the ground below.
The Heartless had detected three cloaked male teenagers in the area and they were heading in this direction.

"Blizzard!"
A few Heartless fell into Riku's sight with frost all over them.
"How did you do that?!"
"I'm not sure Roxas. I sort of felt the urge to say the words and well, it sort of happened."
"That's cool and all but it's not nearly as awesome as fire!"
Riku saw a burst of flame come out of an alley throwing back a bunch of Neoshadow Heartless.
Three hooded figures jumped out of the alley, each with a weapon.
The tallest of the three had a white and black coloured chakram in each hand and they were spun in the person's hands causing flames to dance on it's spiky edges.
The other two cloaked figures had one Keyblade each with a different design from each-other.
One Keyblade was black and it's hand-guard looked like bat-wings. The other Keyblade was silver with a yellow hand-guard.
Riku stood up and tilted his head in curiosity. Long, platinum hair gently swung in the cool breeze and a few strands swung over the black blind-fold that the Dark One wore.
"Who are you three?" Riku murmured quietly.

The three all all had their faces hidden behind their hoods.
Sora, Roxas and Axel all stood close together with their backs facing each-other.
"These things... they're... Heartless right?" Sora asked, trying to remember.
"That's right. These ones are Neoshadows." Roxas replied.
"Be careful you two; these Heartless can go into the floor and appear to be shadows but don't be fooled. They attack viciously when they get a chance." Axel warned.
Sora clutched his Keyblade with two hands, ready to fight the dark creatures.
A few Neoshadows jumped at each member of the trio, claws outstretched and yellow eyes blazing.
Sora widened his eyes in fear under his hood.
'Sora, everything will be fine. Just fight them off, you can do it.' The voice of Ventus said in Sora's head.
The brunette smiled secretly and he jumped forward and swung his Keyblade over his head, hitting several Neoshadows as he stroke them down to the pavement.
The creatures evaporated in a wispy, black smoke until they were completely gone.

Axel grinned as a bunch of Heartless ran forward at him.
The pyro arched his arms back and then he swung his arms forward, releasing his chakrams sending them spinning through the air at the Neoshadows.
The weapons cut through the dark creatures' bodies easily and they were instantly turned into black smoke then nothing.
"How ya going Roxy?!" Axel asked as his weapons reappeared in his gloved hands.
"Better than you!"
"Doubt it!"
Roxas wasted no time attacking the Heartless with his Keyblade, Oblivion.
He stabbed and slashed his way through each Neoshadow skilfully without fear.
He didn't seem fazed that more and more Heartless were appearing but he felt a tiny bit of worry for Sora since he still needed to learn how to use his Keyblade properly.
Sora was doing better than both Roxas and Axel expected and he seemed very confident.
"Fire!" Sora hexed as he pointed his Keyblade at a bunch of Neoshadows and hit them with a fire-ball.

Rain started to fall on the already dark street but the trio weren't fazed by it; their cloaks protected them from the weather and it kept them warm.
"Is it just me or have they stopped attacking?" Roxas murmured to his two team-mates.
"Yeah, weird." Axel replied.
"Look!"
Both Axel and Roxas turned to where Sora was and they cast their eyes to where he was pointing to see a cloaked teenage boy around their age wearing a black cloak like them but with their face exposed and a blind-fold over their eyes.
Wisps of silvery hair swung eerily in the gentle breeze over the mysterious teenager's face.
"Who is that?" Sora asked curiously.
Axel shook his head replying, "Don't worry about that! He is our enemy; the Heartless' Keyblade wielder and our enemy."
'Enemy...'
Sora felt one of his 'visions' come on.
"Oh. So you're leaving then?"
"Yes I'm leaving, but not without you. It doesn't matter if you want to come or not, I'm taking you with me anyway. I have to keep an eye on you, you are my enemy after all."
"Enemy? Since when?"
"Yes, we're enemies. I am the Dark One while you are the Chosen One. Both of us are on different sides."
"We don't have to be if you don't want to."
"But we are, we can't change our destinies."
"We can't change our hearts ether."

"Sora! Hey! Snap out of it!"
Sora came back to reality with a confused look on his face, hidden under the hood.
'Those two voices, they're starting to sound familiar to me but whenever I hear a name I forget it. Is something preventing me from remembering?' Sora thought as he watched the blind-folded teenager.
All the Heartless disappeared without a trace leaving the trio confused.

Riku smirked at the three Nobodies and he jumped off the building he was on and he descended to the pavement below, Way To Dawn appearing in hand.
"Move!" Axel yelled as he pushed Sora and Roxas out of Riku's range.
Seconds later, Riku had impacted the pavement with his Keyblade imbedded in the pavement where the three Nobodies once stood.
"Amazing." Sora murmured, Riku hearing him.
"Are you a new Nobody?" Riku asked as he turned to the three hooded teenagers and pointed to one.
"Huh?"
The tallest Nobody covered Sora's mouth and said, "Yes, he's a newbie. What do you want Riku?"
"You know what I want Axel, where is he? What did you do to his heart?" The blind-folded male asked, his Keyblade appearing from the pavement and into his hand.
Roxas looked at the cracks in the pavement that Riku had caused and he grabbed Sora and pulled him away from Riku and Axel.
"We have to go." He said.
"Riku. He said his name was Riku." Sora murmured, deep in thought.
"Yeah, so? Come on! We have to get out of here; you're not ready to fight him yet." Roxas said, annoyed and he grabbed Sora's arm and started to pull him.

SORA'S POV
~
Riku... Riku... That name... I think I might...
I tore my arm from Roxas' grip and I ran back to where Riku and Axel were.
"What are you doing?!" I heard Roxas hiss.
I didn't look back, I needed to know. This 'Riku' must know something about me.
"Get out of here newbie!" The pyro said as I moved in front of him to face 'Riku'.
The silver-haired teen looked taller than me and stronger and his Keyblade scared me a bit but I didn't flinch.
"Riku, do you know something about me?" I asked.
His expression was unreadable and he got his Keyblade ready to attack but I didn't move.
"Why would I know something about a Nobody?" He asked coldly.
"I'm not a Nobody," I flipped my hood back, revealing my face. "I'm Sora."
He stopped breathing and he dropped his Keyblade on the pavement in a puddle.
"You can't be... your heart... I can't feel it... " He murmured.
My heart? Does he know me?
